House of Travel needed a new way to reach and engage with customers, and to draw them into their brick-and-mortar locations. The team and I at Young & Shand, while I was Digital Director there, came up with a home page based on not locations but experiences instead and linked those to Facebook like buttons to generate social interest.

Beach Holiday and Sign up Form

The Beach Holiday is one of the six experiences, and a surefire hit especially in winter. The story unfolds about this beach resort, it could be one of thousands, but location doesn’t matter much here. After the story, there’s a story form to collect the user’s information, then a sales rep from her nearest location can call her and set an appointment.

This might seem a bit old fashioned, but for House of Travel they offer a very high value service and so they want to emphasise that personal touch, and the fun of travel.
